Action for Happiness is a global movement charity that are providing another monthly initiative. Last month we supported Action for Happiness’ ‘Mindful March’ and this month we are showing our support for ‘Active April.’

Action for Happiness are aiming to create a happier and kinder world – providing people with actions to spread positivity and reach their company goals throughout the year. This month Action for Happiness states: ‘Let’s find ways to get moving and stay active and healthy.’

Crowders Nurseries are supporting Action for Happiness’ movement to create a happier world, in order to do this, we are creating awareness through following their monthly initiatives.

Our Mental Health First Aider, Sarah Curzon, ensures Crowders places great emphasis on the importance of mental health awareness and support. The welfare of our team is at the centre of our internal focus as a company; therefore, we believe Action for Happiness provide the most important initiatives to support the welfare and mental health of our team.

In support of the importance activity must have in our lives the NHS states: ‘No matter how much you do, physical activity is good for your body and mind. Adults should aim to be active every day. Some is good – more is better still. A daily brisk walk can boost your energy, lift your mood, and make everyday activities easier.’

According to the Action for Happiness website, this month individuals can carry out small acts to support Active April. For example:

  • Focus on ‘eating a rainbow’ of multi-coloured vegetables today
  • Be active outside. Dig up weeds or plant some seeds
  • Have a day free from TV or screens and get moving instead
  • Go exploring around your local area and notice new things

Not only do Action for Happiness offer monthly motivation, but they also provide a full service to encourage individuals in their mission to spread happiness. Online coaching, talks, groups, courses, happy cafes, and volunteering – just some of the initiatives on offer through Action for Happiness.
