Crowders Nurseries are delighted to have been shortlisted in the Trade Nursery of the Year category at the Pro Landscaper Business Awards 2021.

Crowders Nurseries’ Chairman Robert Crowder said: “We’re delighted to have been shortlisted for the Pro Landscaper Business Awards in the category Trade Nursery Of The Year. We are really looking forward to the awards ceremony on 25th June as it will be the first opportunity to network with customers and industry colleagues for 15 months.”

The awards will be held at East Wintergarden in Canary Wharf on 25th June 2021, where the landscaping community can celebrate the hard work they all put in the last year.

The Trade Nursery of the Year is a new category and may include but are not limited to; disease prevention, impact on the environment, sustainability, client relationships and retention and a proven track record of a well-run and striving business.

Pro Landscaper’s Jim Wilkinson said: “Our industry is exceptional at celebrating the visual excellence of landscaping with industry awards and RHS shows that highlight how phenomenal landscapes can look, but with the Pro Landscaper Business Awards, we chose to highlight how well businesses operate their processes, staff training, health and safety records and consistently positive customer feedback.”

Crowders Nurseries’ entry highlighted the impressive work everyone has done. A particular success was in staff training and development. We have recently started working with the Lincoln International Business School (LIBS), which provides new opportunities for staff. Sales Director James Carter has been enrolled on a Peer Support and Mentoring programme and will go on to study for an MBA at the University. Crowders are also training three apprentices for each of our nurseries to provide local jobs for local people.

Last year also saw Crowders help some Horticultural Charities. An example of this is the work done with Perennial, the UK’s only charity dedicated to helping everyone who works in horticulture. Crowders renewed their Gold Perennial Partner membership to provide help for those working in horticulture when they needed it most.

The competition will be tough and everyone at Crowders Nurseries are eager to see who will win the Trade Nursery of the Year.
